1912

Expanded its market to Taiwan.

1919

Gisaburo Takahashi succeeded to the name, Gihei Takahashi, and became the second president.

1927

Constructed a new plant in Sanjo City and started manufacturing carpentry tools. At the same time, expanded market to the north of China and Hokkaido.

1940

Separated manufacturing from sales, and made sales department into Takagi Shoten Co., Ltd. and manufacturing department into Takagi Kogyosho Co., Ltd.

1942

Became a designated factory of navy arsenals and Yokosuka Naval Air Technical Arsenals, supplying tool blades and general hardware.

1945

Established a subsidiary, Tokyo Takagi Kanamono, and expanded market to Tokyo.

1948

Nakayoshi Takahashi succeeded to the name, Gihei Takahashi, and became the third president. The company name was changed from Takagi Shoten Co., Ltd. to Takagi Kanamono Co., Ltd.

1961

Giichiro Takahashi succeeded to the name, Gihei Takahashi, and became the fourth president.

1969

Construction of the new head offices of Takagi Co., Ltd.
Takagi Co., Ltd. was formed as a result of amalgamation between Takagi Kanamono Co., Ltd. and Takagi Kogyosho Co., Ltd.

1970

Takagi Co., Ltd. absorbed Tokyo Takagi Kanamono in a merger.

1971

Kazuo Takahashi was appointed as the fifth president.

1975

New building of Tokyo Sales Office was completed.
No. 2 Business Division was newly established.
Operations were expanded to the gift business and school teaching resources business.

1980

To expand the volume retail division, headquarter No. 3 Business Division was newly established in Mitsuke City, Niigata.

1982

Sapporo Branch Office was newly established.

1983

Osaka Sales Office was newly established.

1984

The Cutter Saw Business Division was newly established. Subsequently renamed as the Neocut Business Division.

1986

New building of Sapporo Branch was completed.

1987

Chiba Sales Office was newly established.

1988

Sendai Sales Office was newly established.

1989

Fukuoka Sales Office was newly established. Kita Kanto Sales Office (Kumagaya City) was newly established.
To expand the No. 3 Business Division, the delivery center was enlarged.

1990

EARTH MAN was put on the market. The new head office building was completed in Sanjo City, Niigata. Sales broke through the 100-million-yen barrier.

1991

Sapporo Branch was split into Sapporo Sales Office and No. 3 Business Division Sapporo Sales Office.

1992

Shonan Sales Office (Ebina City) was newly established.

1993

New saw plant was established in Mitsuke City. Neocut Business Division was transferred.

1994

Tokyo Sales Office in Kanda, Chiyoda Ward was made Tokyo Branch, and Tokyo Sales Office (Wako City) was separately established.

1995

Hideo Takahashi was appointed as the sixth-generation company president.
Kanazawa Sales Office was newly established.

1997

New building of No. 3 Business Division Logistics Center was completed in the Nishikan Ward of Niigata City.

1998

No. 3 Nagoya Sales Office was newly established.

2002

A local subsidiary was established in Wuxi (China)

2003

New building of Tokyo Branch was completed. No. 3 Hiroshima Sales Office was newly established.

2004

Neocut Business Division No. 3 Plant was established in Sanjo City, Niigata, and sale of Neocut Wood was commenced.
Sales broke through the 200-million-yen barrier.

2008

Additional warehouse was constructed on the expanded site of Head Office in Sanjo City, Niigata. The total site area 15,840㎡.

2011

Utsunomiya sub-branch office was newly established.

2012

Tsukasa Takahashi was appointed as the seventh-generation company president.
Business Division No. 3 warehouse was newly established in Kanekoshinden, Sanjo city. (1980m2)

2013

New building of Sendai Sales Office was completed.

2014

Aomori Sales Office was newly established. New Head Office building was completed, and the logistics warehouse was expanded.
Sales broke through the 300-million-yen barrier.

2016

The company’s 150th anniversary celebrations were held on a grand scale.

2017

Tatsuya Takahashi was appointed as the eighth-generation company president.

2018

Osaka Sales Office (No. 1 Business Division) was newly established.

2023

First Business Division opens Nagoya Sales Office and Yokohama Sales Office.
